{"id":24897,"date":"2025-12-29T18:00:39","date_gmt":"2025-12-29T12:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ipbb.kz\/eng\/?page_id=24897"},"modified":"2025-12-29T18:00:39","modified_gmt":"2025-12-29T12:00:39","slug":"ap-23490217-superviser-anuarbek-s","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ipbb.kz\/eng\/ap-23490217-superviser-anuarbek-s\/","title":{"rendered":"AP 23490217 (superviser Anuarbek S.)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Results<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>for<\/strong><strong> 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Botanical expedition routes were developed to collect <em>Aegilops<\/em> L. species (<em>Ae. cylindrica, Ae. crassa, Ae. tauschii, Ae. triuncialis<\/em>, and <em>Ae. juvenalis<\/em>) growing in southeastern Kazakhstan. As a result of expeditions conducted in 2025, nine populations of <em>Ae. cylindrica<\/em> and four populations of <em>Ae. triuncialis<\/em> were collected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Phenotypic and phenological assessments were conducted on 29 Aegilops accessions grown in the Almaty region, including four species native to Kazakhstan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DNA was isolated from two <em>Aegilops<\/em> species using the CTAB (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) method in triplicate for subsequent genetic analysis using SSR and ITS markers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optimization of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) conditions for 20 wheat SSR markers localized on chromosomes 1D \u20137D has been completed. The optimized parameters will be applied in further genotyping of Aegilops species.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work has begun on genotyping two Aegilops species \u2013 <em>Ae. cylindrica<\/em> and <em>Ae. triuncialis<\/em><em> <\/em>and determining the nucleotide sequences of their chloroplast genomes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Information for potential users<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The results of the completed research are of high scientific and practical value, as they contribute to expanding knowledge about the biological diversity of the genus <em>Aegilops<\/em> L. in Kazakhstan. Organized expeditions allowed us to collect new populations of the species <em>Ae. cylindrica and Ae. triuncialis<\/em>, expanding our collection of genetic material and creating a basis for further breeding and genetic research. Phenotypic and phenological assessment of 29 <em>Aegilops<\/em> L. species provides insight into their adaptive and morphological characteristics in the Almaty region, while DNA extraction and the use of SSR and ITS markers create opportunities for studying the genetic diversity and relationships between species. The data obtained make it possible to identify valuable genetic resources that can be used in wheat breeding to enhance resistance to stress conditions and improve crop productivity.
