The Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology held a Young Scientists Conference, «Current State and Prospects of Plant Biotechnology,»<\/strong> dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Twenty-five young researchers <\/strong>from the Institute\u2014PhD, doctoral, master’s, and young scientists under 40\u2014participated in the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the course of two days, participants presented the results of fundamental and applied research in plant biotechnology, virology, phytopathology, genomics, introduction, biodiversity conservation, and environmental metagenomics. An independent jury assessed the papers based on scientific novelty, depth of research, validity of conclusions, presentation quality, and public speaking skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conference Winners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the jury’s overall evaluation, the prizes were distributed as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfc6 First place \u2013 Yulia Anatolyevna Geniyevskaya<\/strong>, PhD, Research Associate, Molecular Genetics Laboratory. Total score: 88<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\udd48 Second place \u2013 Aruzhan Sairanovna Mendybaeva<\/strong>, Master’s student, Laboratory Assistant, Molecular Biology Laboratory. Total score: 86<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83e\udd49 Third place \u2013 Akerke Yklaskyzy Amalova<\/strong>, PhD, Senior Research Associate, Molecular Genetics Laboratory. Total score: 83.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference became an important platform for professional networking and the exchange of experience among young scientists, contributing to the development of the Institute’s scientific potential and the advancement of innovative research in plant biotechnology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organizing committee expresses its gratitude to the participants, scientific supervisors, and jury members for their high level of preparation and active participation.<\/p>\n\n\n
