The delegation included:
Zhu Yun – Deputy Secretary of the Zigong Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China;
Ji Fei – Director of Zigong Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs;
Xiao Xiaogang – Deputy Secretary of Fushun County Committee;
Chen Yonghang – Deputy Secretary of Yantan District Committee;
Li Jianming – Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of the Zigong Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China;
Yan Shengmin – Rice Breeding and Cultivation Expert.
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen scientific cooperation and enhance collaboration between the Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology and the Zigong Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
Key areas of cooperation include the exchange of advanced innovative technologies for the development, production, and processing of agricultural crop varieties, as well as the implementation of joint scientific research.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the Director General and scientists of the IPBB, where the prospects for scientific cooperation, academic exchange of young researchers, and implementation of joint projects were discussed. A Memorandum of Understanding on mutual cooperation was signed between the parties. The delegation also visited the research laboratories of the IPBB and held discussions on future areas of joint activity.
