The Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology held a Young Scientists Conference, «Current State and Prospects of Plant Biotechnology,» dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Twenty-five young researchers from the Institute—PhD, doctoral, master’s, and young scientists under 40—participated in the event.
Over the course of two days, participants presented the results of fundamental and applied research in plant biotechnology, virology, phytopathology, genomics, introduction, biodiversity conservation, and environmental metagenomics. An independent jury assessed the papers based on scientific novelty, depth of research, validity of conclusions, presentation quality, and public speaking skills.
